South Park Lets Go Tower Defense Play Review
For the past 13 years you’ve seen Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny on your television screens saving imagination world and stopping the end of the world of war craft.
This time the four friends have a greater enemy and you will have to defend many levels such as Stan’s House and The Great Wall of South Park.
South Park Lets Go Tower Defence Play isn’t like your ordinary tower defence game such as plants vs. zombies; where you only build your towers and watch (boring). South Park adds a whole new dimension to the way you defend.
For example you don’t just build your towers such as lasers, cherry bombs etc because you will also have to control one of your favourite characters (not just the first four) such as Butters, Timmy, Jimmy, Clyde, Pip, Token.
You will switch between building towers and controlling characters in order to kill the humorous and terrifying foes like ginger kids and old people to demons and terrorists. Each character has their own special ability to keep you from being over run, however it isn’t just tiny gnomes and hippies you need to stop. There are a few ridiculously hard bosses to defeat one being ManBearPig.
The game can be very tough at times so the added option of lowering the difficulty is there but for this you are penalised eg you are unable to gain high reward medals and gain extra points..
Through the campaign you are played countless numbers of short but hilarious clips of the actual show which add a great comedy feel. Although this game is fun and has many unlockable characters, you may find in time that you could lose interest playing it, especially if you have all the achievements. If you fancy something more relaxed try "Challenge mode". This is similar to the campaign but has no story to follow.
With four player online and local co-op capabilities, this is a perfect game for you and three other friends. Fans of the television show will definitely love this game and should without a doubt buy it.
Even with its minor annoyances, short term game play and not much replayability I rate this game
7/10
