Warp Review

Warp is a top down stealth/puzzle game brought to you by Trapdoor Inc.  Is it worth buying?  Let's find out.

Story

You play as an adorable little alien named Zero.  Zero has been captured by evil humans and is being tested on in an underwater research facility.  Your mission is to get escape the horrors by using some strange abilities that you have at your disposal.

Gameplay/controls

Zero’s main ability is “Warp” he can warp through thin walls, into people and objects also.

Throughout the game you are slowly introduced into new abilities such as Echo, which allows you to create a ghost of yourself or an object you are in and swap, which allows you to swap yourself with a human or object that your ghost has reached.

These abilities are crucial if you want to escape the facility safely and work amazingly well.  Even though they are totally different I feel like I am playing Portal with a little cute alien and I love it.

The controls are pretty simple but will sometimes make you stumble.  At times I saw an evil scientist coming round a corner and through panic I warped all over the place and pressed the wrong buttons leading to my death.  Although this is annoying it does not cause you so much grief that you will want to throw your controller.

Visuals

Warp as a whole looks great.  A very well planned research facility with brilliant puzzles, detailed areas and Warp himself as the sweet and innocent alien are second to none.  I believe Trapdoor inc have given you the best visuals they could and I know they will impress all of you.

Overall

Warp is a fantastic puzzle game and all you puzzle fans out there should buy it.  Zero is cute, clever and a devious little alien and all for a good reason.

I would by Zero plush in a second and can see him in a Pixar film as a superstar alien.

Buy this game ASAP

9/10
